Corrections policy

We show prices exactly as hospitals publish them and never invent a value. If a figure looks wrong, tell us — here is how we review and fix it.

How to report an error

Email contact@hospitalpricer.com with the hospital name, the page link, and the specific figure or detail you believe is wrong. If you can, include the billing code and what the hospital’s own published file shows.

How we review it

We check every report against the hospital’s source price-transparency file— the machine-readable file the hospital itself publishes. Because our pages are generated directly from those files, a page reflects what the source disclosed; we never fill in, average, or estimate a value a hospital did not publish. A blank price means the hospital did not disclose one — never that the price is $0.

How a correction is made

If the source file and our page disagree, we fix it promptly and the corrected figure appears the next time that hospital’s file is processed. If the hospital’s own file is the source of the error, we can note that the underlying disclosure appears inconsistent, but we will not overwrite what the hospital published with a number of our own — that would be inventing data.

What we can and cannot correct

  • We can fix parsing or display errors where our page does not match the hospital’s published file.
  • We can update stale figures once a hospital republishes its file.
  • We cannot tell you your final bill, or change a published price to what you think it should be — a published price is a reference figure, not your actual bill.
